Today we began our new unit on evolution. I asked the class five questions which we then discussed:
1. What is evolution?
2. What is a theory in science?
3. What observations is the theory of evolution based on?
4. Describe the evidence that contradicts evolution?
5. How are evolution and genetics connected?
I highly encourage you to take a look at Evolution 101 out of UC Berkeley.
After our discussion I gave students time to begin work on the Evolution packet that is due on Monday.
